CHRISTMAS PARTY – Saturday, 9th December 2023

29th Aug 2023

Hooray!! It’s time to put the date onto your calendars, buy tickets and book a room for the Frazer Nash Christmas Party. This time not only will we be saying farewell to our out-going Captain Dougal and welcoming in our new Captain Winston, but also we’ll be test driving a new venue. All-in-all some very good reasons to be there!

The new venue is Walton Hall Hotel, very close to Wellesbourne in Warwickshire. We hope this is somewhere that brings back some of the quirky tradition of ‘Nash parties from times gone by, with a mix of ancient and “modern”.

There are two separate hotel buildings on site, with just a couple of minutes’ walk between each. One is the grade II historic hall where the party will be held on Saturday night:

  • Impressive banquet hall/ballroom, complete with chandeliers
  • Huge bar
  • Separate, comfortable seating areas
  • Open fires
  • Bedrooms and suites
  • EXCLUSIVE use for the FNCC on Saturday night

The other is a 1980s purpose-built hotel:

  • Reception
  • Refectory
  • Bar
  • Bedrooms

There is an indoor heated swimming pool free for guests, plus a spa offering chargeable treatments.

Finding a new venue that suits our requirements is not easy and with slightly restricted time in which to do so, having been somewhat let down by our previous place, not everything will necessarily be perfect. Importantly, however, the Frazer Nash Christmas Party is also about the people who attend and what we make of it, so buy your tickets good and early (only 180 available), book your room/s and let’s have a party to remember. The driving tests will be held on Saturday morning so why not make a weekend of it and join a happy band of Nash folk on Friday night. Marshals for the tests are definitely needed. Wellesbourne is only 8 miles from Warwick, 7.5 miles from Leamington Spa and 6.5 miles from Stratford, all offering plenty of shopping opportunities or perhaps a visit to the theatre.

One final incentive is the AGM on Saturday afternoon, which in itself will be a unique experience thanks to the highly unusual setting that we have managed to arrange for it.
