For those of us running Pre-war sports-cars, events like the White House Memorial Team Race and VSCC Scratch Race (also open to single-seaters) will appeal. Motor Racing Legends will be there with their Pre-War Sports Cars Race which VSCC members can participate in given that they have an eligible car; contact Motor Racing Legends for more details. Don't miss The Edwardian Race for 1908-1919 cars; this 5 lap scratch race is a popular addition to the Edwardian racing calendar and nicely complements the legendary Mallory Park Handicap Race.
For the Post-war sports car fraternity there will be a round of the BRDC Historic Sportscars Series as well as our own VSCC members race for 1950s Sports Racing Cars. We will have two races for Equipe GTS, the pre-65 sports car series. Formula cars are also well represented with The Flockhart Trophy Race that always attracts a glorious grid of Post-war Grand Prix cars such as Maserati 250Fs and the like. The Formula Junior Association will have a grid at the event.

This year, the traditional title applied to this meeting is entirely appropriate it being 50 years since Mike Hawthorn became the first British World Champion. The Hawthorn trophies will be hotly contested, no doubt, and we hope to have some cars with a Hawthorn connection at the meeting, maybe with one or two actually racing. Oulton Park is a true favourite with competitors for the superb 2½ mile track which allows our cars to stretch their legs and also be challenged by the tight and twisty sections. Spectators also flock to the Cheshire circuit to experience not only the superlative sight of the racing, but also the relaxed atmosphere in the paddock.
