22nd Jul 2022

Ahead of a probable VSCC Sprint at Blyton in 2023, the FNCC is holding a track day there on 14th September. This sounds like a great opportunity for those of us who've never been there to try out what anecdotally sounds like a great new circuit.
Booking is by entering with James Baxter 07799 038731 or James@TipTopEngineering.co.uk.  £200.00 per car with as many driver and passengers as you like.
Drivers briefing at 8.30, cars on track at 9.00. Lunch 12.30 . Finish when all the cars are broken or run out of fuel.

There are few rules, the main one is overtaking:-

By consent only.  On the Straights only.   AND-------   The car in front moves to the left, the faster car passes on the right. Blyton is anticlockwise so the racing line is on the right, so consent is easy, by moving over. No confusion can arise with pointing the wrong way. Bear in mind I that TWO cars may want to pass, before you move back over.

Fit wing mirrors if you don’t have them already.

All persons on track, passenger and driver have signed the consent and got a wristband.

Wear a helmet.

Camping is allowed the night before.

Cars must be silenced, to 95 db at 20 meters drive past. Usual levels for most hillclimbs.

Spectators are allowed.

No under 16’s driving, but no restriction for passengers, though must have signed a form.

No ticket to get on site, just a wristband to get on track.

We will have about 6 cars on track together. Come and queue in the pitlane. Wait for the green light, which releases one car at a time. This gets you spaced out on track. We recommend you do approx 4 laps per session, then come in and have a rest. Its hard work! Chat, have a brew check your fuel level!!!and queue up again. Timing is not allowed.

Go and have fun, try different things. Take a passenger, swap cars, compare. Go and ask someone else for a passenger ride, and experience different cars if possible. There is no pressure or requirement to drive fast and win. Look after each other, be patient when overtaking.Remember:- Overtake on the RIGHT only. Check your fuel level.

Primarily, have a good time and keep safe.
