I think it is fair to say that Winston was born with vintage cars, in particular Frazer Nashes in his DNA. His parents John and Anne fully involved him in vintage motoring from an early age in Anne’s Austin 7 Chummy, and number of Nashes and their GN- check out Gazette number 39 November 1971, for pictures of 4 year old Winston in the back of the Teague family Nash HX 569 on the Nurburgring Raid. Winston cut his teeth building his A7 Ulster as a teenager, then his Nash in his 20’s, later acquiring Wasp in 1999. He has participated in many raids, co-organising the inaugural ski raid to Morzine in 2014, successfully competed in speed events and trials and generally used, maintained and developed and thoroughly enjoyed our cars.

Winston joined the FNCC committee in 1998 and is a trustee of the FN Archives. Over the years he has built up an encyclopaedic knowledge of all things Frazer Nash and GN related. This was recognised and nurtured by David Thirlby, and in 2000 Winston took on the role of Registrar from David. His enthusiasm and networking has resulted in him matchmaking many buyers and vendors of Frazer Nashes and GNs, as many members’ bank balances will testify!

He is looking forward to his Captaincy with his usual optimism and a big Teague grin, John and Anne would have been immensely proud.
