Arthur Gibson - update & videos

16th Sep 2021

Following the very sad news of the demise of Arthur Gibson, I have dug back in my records to a wonderful weekend that Tom McEwan, Peter Still and I spent in the legendary mill when I made a rather poor series of videos which might just be of interest to the Club ? Arthur was a modern day hero in so many ways whose constructions and achievements will live on forever. RIP old soul and friend.

Arthur’s cremation is next Tuesday, but on his request this is a private affair.

There will be a celebration of his life next year at the windmill,

We are sad to have to report that GN enthusiast Arthur Gibson passed away this morning.

What a hero. He used to drive his blown Gough-engined single seater to races, spurning trailers. He won the GP at Spa in it, the pinnacle of Nashing! As custodian of the ex-Bill Craddock T-cam Akela GN, Arthur would tear off to the pub at considerable speed. A unique man.
