The first VSCC Silverstone was held on 2nd July 1949 and one of the races that day was a Frazer Nash handicap race. It was won by Chris Sears in a TT Replica (AUL 41) with the fastest lap going to Ken Miles in the Elektron Nash. This was the first official Nash race, the unofficial Mutton Grand Prix was 2 years earlier.

At VSCC Silverstone on Saturday 20th April we will commemorate this 75th anniversary. The club have organised for a parade of cars that took part in that first Nash race and from the field of 16 cars, we are expecting around 10 of the 1949 entries from the 15 survivors. We will have an infield area reserved, which is most likely in the Vintage Car Park (behind the BRDC grandstand), so please bring your Frazer Nash or GN along if you can. Plenty of Nashes are entered for the races too!
