Nash Picnic 19th-20th July

24th Mar 2025
Event Date: 19th Jul 2025

Calling all Nash ladies, gentlemen, yoofs and everyone in between, to the social event of the penultimate weekend in July.

This year to be held in God’s Own Country at our gaff in Hepworth, Holmfirth, West Yorkshire.

Now we know that coming ooop North will give a lot of you soft southern shandy drinkers a nose bleed, but it will be well worth it as being Northern we like to offer value for money.

At this early stage details are sketchy, but it will hopefully involve the following;

  • Beer !
  • A run up Holme Moss (one of the world’s oldest road hill climbs) where the likes of Stirling Moss and your man Archie competed in the early twenties. There is usually an ice cream van at the top, and it being a road we can drive up and down it as much as we like to our hearts content. Although of course no timing, ahem, and certainly no racing, cough cough, will be allowed.
  • Some interesting cars. We are hoping to have TMX 545, the ex Cec Booth car that came third at Le Mans in 1949 and 20th at Le Mans in 1950 in the hands of owner Norman Culpan and H J Aldington, as well as TME 924 that entered the Targa Floria and Mille Miglia in 1949.
  • The first test between the British Lions & Australia.
  • Saturday night BBQ
  • Maybe some silly games.
  • Oh, and a picnic.

Plenty of room for camping & lots of accommodation available nearby so why not make a weekend of it ?

So, please do put July 19th & 20th in your diary and eagerly await further details !
