60 and survived - update from Paul Waine

3c81af86-2845-401d-ac4e-3b9df483890d

14th May 2022

Sarah, Sally, Henry and I would like to update you on my recovery and thank everyone, first responders, the various wards and departments at Southampton Hospital, sporting clubs, their members and all the friends that have been in contact and provided the most fantastic support to the family since the accident at Goodwood on 10th April. The kindness of the messages and help provided has been most humbling to us all.

I am back home and recovery is continuing apace, with just a few weeks left wearing my thoracic “lifejacket” whilst all the bits continue to repair!

Having managed to sleep through my 60th birthday, I am very much hoping to be back in circulation in the not-too-distant future and get the opportunity to toast the occasion with a beer (or two!) and personally thank everyone for the incredible support you have all shown.

Paul
