GN at Le Mans

Good photo of GN and Bresciaat La Sarthe 1920. Grand Prix de L’UMF at Le Mans 28th August 1920, the GN is driven by Douglas Hawkes. Sixteen lap race 170 miles, Hawkes was flagged off after 5 laps but classified as a finisher in 5th place. The race was the first to show a chequered flag to mark the end of a race. 1st place Marcel Violet Major only 4 cars completed the distance.
